About This Program

Program Name: Fieldkit SMS Notifications

Fieldkit is a field service management platform (ISV) that provides SMS messaging capabilities to home services contractors — including plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, roofers, and general contractors. Fieldkit sends transactional text messages on behalf of these contractor businesses to their existing customers (homeowners and property managers).

Message Types

Messages sent through the Fieldkit platform include:

  • Missed call follow-up notifications
  • Appointment scheduling confirmations and reminders
  • Estimate and invoice delivery notifications
  • Job status updates and completion notifications
  • Service follow-up messages

All messages are transactional in nature and directly related to active service engagements. Fieldkit does not send marketing or promotional messages to contractors' customers.

Consent and Opt-In

Messages are sent only to individuals who have provided consent to receive text messages from their contractor. Consent is obtained by the contractor business (not by Fieldkit directly) through one or more of the following methods:

  • Verbal consent: The customer calls the contractor to request service and agrees to receive text message updates. Sample script: "We'd like to send you text message updates about your appointment and service. Do we have your permission to text you at this number? You can opt out at any time by replying STOP."
  • Written consent: The customer provides their phone number and SMS consent on a service agreement or intake form. The form includes consent language: "By providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from [Business Name] regarding your service. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • Web/online consent: The customer submits a service request through the contractor's website, which includes an unchecked SMS consent checkbox with disclosure language.

Message Frequency and Data Rates

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies based on service activity, typically 2-8 messages per service engagement.

Opt-Out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to the number you received messages from. After you send the SMS message STOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent data collected through the Fieldkit messaging program will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
